Jacob McGivern

Hi there fellow reader!
My name is Jacob. As a 22 year-old, I've gone through many life changing experiences. This website will be used as an outlet to share these experiences with you, the readers. In a nutshell, I was born in a small town in Ohio. I have two loving parents, but I had a grandmother who lived with us and took care of me while my parents were at work. Over time, it wasn't her who took care of me, but me taking care of her. I learned to Love and to care for someone in need from a young age which set my ideals and goals in life from a young age. Help anyone you see. If you interact with someone, make their life better.

After she passed away, I graduated from high school shortly after with an Associate of Science Degree from a community college. Within the next three years I pursued a degree in IT (Information Technology), Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. Life led me different pathways, but I ended up at Oakland University in Michigan pursuing Electrical Engineering. While in Michigan, I went to church and end up meeting my wife, Hannah.

Only a few weeks after our engagement, I was involved in two car accidents in 2015. The accidents have effected me emotionally, physically, and mentally. I ended up dropping out of university due to the amount of new stress and anxieties these courses built up within me. Before I was a straight A student who would not procrastinate. Afterwards, if I sat down to do my homework, I would start shaking. The entire situation was and still is a big life changer for me.

My wife and I decided it would be best to try and have time be the cure of these issues I was having. Only weeks later, my wife was found to be pregnant! Wow! Life seems to be moving fast! In October of 2017, my son Elijah Gabriel McGivern was born. I now am a stay-at-home father who is slowly transitioning back into the collegiate world at Wayne State University pursing a degree in Computer Science.

You will find a lot of my blog posts and articles will probably overlap with one or more of my life experiences listed here. My goal is to reach out, encourage, support, and make someone's life better at the end of everyday. Hopefully this website, blog, and eventually my book can do that for someone!

Enjoy!
